Tracy was born January 6th, 1971, to Roger and Dianne Perman and spent his early years growing up in Kirkland, Washington. When he was 13 years old, his family moved to Sacramento, California, where he stayed until he joined the Navy at 19. Tracy served on the USS Nimitz during Operation Desert Storm, receiving the Liberation of Kuwait Medal. Tracy was stationed at NAS Whidbey, where he met the love of his life, Suzan Perman, who he married in 1997 and built a wonderful life with. When Tracy retired from the US Navy, he started his civilian career in Non-Destructive Technology at Goodrich, before expanding his career at Boeing in 2006, where he remained until the end.
Tracy was a devoted husband, proud father, and cherished grandpa. He was a man who believed deeply in standing up for what mattered—his family most of all. He was married to his soulmate, Suzan Perman, and together they built a life grounded in loyalty, love, and unwavering commitment to the family they created with one another.
To his children and grandchildren, Tracy was steadfastly loyal; he was a protector, and a teacher of all things. He loved sharing ridiculous stories, giving advice (whether we wanted it or not), and making sure everyone around him was prepared for whatever life might bring. His role as “Dad” and “Grandpa” was one he carried with utmost pride.
Tracy had a lifelong passion for all things automotive; there was many-a-time when he would run alongside moving vehicles so he could listen and diagnose what the problem was. He has always had an affinity for helping people solve their problems, and his way of showing love was giving to those around him. With every action he took and gift he gave, there was always immense thought and care behind it.
For all that he was a fighter, he chose to love more.
Above all else, Tracy loved his family fiercely. Everything he did—from working hard to planning for the future—was done with their safety and well-being in mind. His strength, convictions, and love will live on through those he leaves behind.
He is survived by his wife Suzan, son Jason, daughters Areya, Shaniya, and Taeya. His grandchildren Ryan, Nathan, Alexander, Genevieve, John, and all those yet to come.
He will be deeply missed, always remembered, and forever loved.
A Celebration of Tracy’s Life will be held on February 28th, 2026, at 2pm, at Compass City Church. 6525 Maltby Rd, Woodinville, WA 98072.
