youngest of six children, Vince enjoyed a laborious but loving childhood and attended a neighboring one-room schoolhouse. At
twenty-six, he joined the Marines in the Pacific as a bus driver and construction worker. After returning from service, Vince met
his wife, Nettie Jean Miller, and they married on October 14, 1951. Vince’s ultimate career as a lineman with Union Electric
spanned three decades, but his affability and energy first led to him to work as a car salesman, roller rink manager, and deputy
sheriff. In 1988, Vince and Nettie followed their daughter, Jeanne, to Washington State to support the growth of her family.
There, Vince dedicated himself to being a loving, supportive and wise grandfather. He found friendship through wood carving at
the Snohomish Senior Center and community through Saint Michael’s Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Vince is
survived by his four girls: daughter, Jeanne, and granddaughters Danielle, Kimberly, and Kelsey. He also leaves behind an
extensive family and many friends. Donations may be made to Saint Michael’s or the Snohomish Senior Center. A funeral and
reception will held on January 12, 2018, starting at 11:00 AM, at St. Michael’s (1512 Pine Ave., Snohomish, WA 98290). A
graveside service will immediately follow the reception at GAR Cemetery (8601 Riverview Road, Snohomish, WA 98290).
