Dear Friends, We are so saddened by this news.  We had no idea.  I had a long email just about the time he was stricken I think about Tana's kidney condition.  It was thanks to him I knew that.  He was the kindest, most empathetic young man I know.  What a loss to all of us, but especially you his family.  His sweetness was so special.  It brings tears to my eyes to write this.  Remember how patient he was when Tana and I left all of you, plus my two and a few neighbor kids at home with him?  What a guy.  He will be missed for as long as we all are around. I'd told more than one person that I would trust Walt with my life.  And meant it.  The only thing that I had to trust him with was my kitchen which he remodeled beautifully.
He was a kind man who jumped right in when something needed to be done.

The world was a better place with Walt in it.  We all miss him

I remember so well what so well what your Mother said to me when our Stephanie passed " You have just become a member of a special Mothers club. That I joined when I lost my son."

I know how you and you family feel today a Quote from me, You cannot Mother Hen your children....You Walt and the family will all grieve in your way and time.  You will find that not everyone is on the same page.

Thinking of all of and  hope you are doing as well as expected. We were planning on coming up for the memorial service next Sunday, but now I see we have dates mixed up.

PS. I still have the house plans Walter drew up for me all those years ago so we could have a house next to you.

Walt was truly one of a kind.  Uniquely qualified to understand the complexities in life while also finding the humor buried in most anything.  Oh my, how he is missed.  The Husky road trips will never be the same, but his memory will remind us how important it is to get together regularly and goof off.

To his family, it was apparent to me how proud of you we was.  He constantly spoke of you all and his love could not be hidden.  Thank you for raising a true gem and sharing him with the rest of us.

And to Walt: We'll see you when we see you.
