1/9/1951 - 2/15/2012
Bill Green, 61, was born in Los Angeles, California and passed away in Everett, Washington after a short illness. He graduated from Washington State School for the Deaf in 1972.
Bill was a parent to many rare varieties of fish, reptiles, insects and strange critters, which he began collecting at an early age while visiting his grandparents in Palm Springs, California. He raised Pit Bull Terriers and won several trophies and ribbons with the dogs he breed. His lifelong passion was fishing, which took him from Alaska to Baja to Florida with rod and reel. To Bill, there were only two seasons – fresh water and salt water.
He is survived by his sisters Leslie (Mike) Foley and Linda (David) Jarashow, nieces and nephews David, Margaret and Nate Foley and Benjamin, Adam and Lisa Jarashow, his Aunt Gail Green and Cousin Ted (Pam) McKay. He was preceded in death by his parents Wm. Levis and Marilyn McKay Green and grandparents Wm. O. and Leah Miller McKay, all of Seattle.
Bill was proud to be a 4th generation Seattleite. His great-grandfather, Hon. John F. Miller was Seattle mayor in 1909 during the Alaska Yukon Pacific Exposition and later represented Seattle in the U.S. Congress. Grandfather Bill McKay was one of Seattle’s first Ford dealers and a civic leader who helped create Seattle Seafair.
