Catherine Shorty Loretta Gagnon Swanberg

Catherine Loretta (Gagnon) Swanberg 87, of Solon Springs, WI passed away Friday, July 19, 2013 at Middle River Health & Rehab in Hawthorne, WI. Catherine was born and raised in Solon Springs, WI on February 24, 1926 to the late Louis E. and Josephine (Baker) Gagnon. Catherine married Frank James Swanberg January 22, 1955, they enjoyed 58 years together. They lived in St. Paul, MN for 20 years, and wintered in Truth or Consequences in New Mexico for 20 years. Among those who survive and gratefully shared her life is her husband Frank of 58 years from Solon Springs, WI; her four children Rita Swanberg, Linda (Jeff) Goerdt, Jeff (Thuy) Swanberg, John (Becky) Swanberg; 10 grandchildren Craig (Sarah) Fries, Claire (Andrew) Spalding, Bridget Swanberg, Christina Kramer, Andrew (Lindsay) Goerdt, Brianna Goerdt, Angel Swanberg, Allison, Jack and Kate Swanberg; four great grandchildren Allan, Annabelle and Aidan Fries, Braydon Spalding. She is preceded in death by four sisters Ethel, Ann, Cecile, JoAnn; seven brothers Hal, Charlie, Eddie, Omer, Polo, John, and Bob. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 26th, 2013 at the St. Pius X Catholic Church of Solon Springs, WI with Father James Kinney officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Solon Springs, WI.
