Doris Loretta Smith

Doris was born in Bloomer, WI to the late Henry and Mae Deckness. Doris married Earl Smith Feb 3, 1934 in Solon Springs, WI. He preceded her in death 1980. Doris was a homemaker making her own soaps, quilts, and washing her laundry using a gasoline operated washing machine, gardening and canning her own foods.

Those who loved and shared her life are her children: Sarah (John) Allen, Darlene Springer, Karen (Paul) Juneau, Dorothy (James) Pananen. Eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by one brother Harry Deckness.

Funeral Services for Doris will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday March 22, 2014 at the Brown Funeral Home in Solon Springs. Pastor Phil Terrill will officiate. Visitation will be held Saturday at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Service.
