Karen Sue Patz

Karen was born August 28, 1941 in Cook Co. IL , raised by Marion & Nel (O’Neil) Pilot.

Karen married Clarence Patz May 20, 1961. They celebrated 50 years together.

Karen was employed at Link Recreational Center in Minong, WI and retired in 2009. She took pride in mowing the grass with her John Deere Lawnmower; no one else could take the privilege away from her. Karen was an avid reader, she loved watching movies, and going shopping. Above all she cherished spending time with her family and her special companion “Remmie”, who spent countless hours watching HGTV with Karen.

Among those who survive and gratefully shared her life is her husband Clarence of Minong, WI & Fort Meyers, FL; children: Michael (Corina) Patz of Tucson, AZ & Kelly Brown of Minong, WI; 6 grandchildren: Kyle Mealey, Cambria Patz, Mikenzie Patz, Kyle Brown, Cole Brown, Breece Eytcheson; 2 great grandchildren: Mason Mealey, Myrah Mealey; 1 brother: Raymond Pilot of West Frankfort, IL; special family member “Remmie”.

Memorial Services will be held 11:00a.m., Thursday, August 4, 2011 at the Brown Funeral Home in Minong, WI. Pastor Ben Kidder will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral Thursday, at the funeral home in Minong.
