

Karl Robert Hildebrandt, age 63, of Lake Nebagamon, Wisconsin, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2014, with his family by his side. He was born February 5, 1950 in Superior to the late Eunice and Clifford Hildebrandt.
Karl was employed by the Fraizer Shipyards and sailed as a wheelsman for U.S. Steel on the Edgar B. Speer. He enjoyed hunting, watching old westerns and football games, working on home improvement projects, sailing the Great Lakes, and being with family and friends.
He is survived by his two sons, Scott Hildebrandt (wife Michelle) and David Hildebrandt (wife Justine), ex-wife Norma Hildebrandt, two grandchildren Miles and Maxwell Hildebrandt sons of Scott Hildebrandt and Michelle Perkins, three sisters Joyce Meyers, Ardith Peterson, and Sandy Hildebrandt, and two brothers Stanley (wife Diane) and Tracy Hildebrandt. Karl was preceded in death by one brother Leslie Hildebrandt.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 8th at Trinity Lutheran Church, Lake Nebagamon. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be given in Karl’s name to the Solvay Hospice House, 801 Baylis Street, Duluth, MN 55811.
A very heartfelt thank you goes to Luann and the staff at the Solvay Hospice House for the amazing care they showed Karl in his final days of life.
