Norma Elizabeth Banger

Norma was born in South St. Paul, MN, October 26, 1923 to the late Nels and Martha (Rust) Nelson. Norma graduated from South St. Paul High School, in 1941. Norma married Mitch Banger Nov 1, 1941. They owned a landscape business until 1958 when they purchased Deerwood Resort on lake Nancy, Minong. They moved to Somerset, WI in 1973. Norma then pursued a career in Dietary Management and was employed at St Croix Health Center New Richmond, WI for 17 years. Mitch and Norma enjoyed 42 years together. After retiring Norma moved back to Minong, WI.

Those who loved and shared her life are her six children: Karen (Earl) Lee, Barbara Andrews, Joan (Marty) Beauvais, Roxanne (Chuck) Mc Cumber, Mitch Banger, Mark (Lynda) Banger. Eighteen grandchildren, thirty-five great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Mitch Sr. one brother, two sisters

A Celebration of Norma’s life will be held 1:30 pm Saturday, April 5th 2014 at the Calvary Lutheran Church Minong. Pastor Sara will officiate. Visitation will held from 12:00 pm Saturday, April 5th until the time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the WELCA group at Calvary Lutheran Church.

Burial will be held at a later date at Hillside Cemetery in Somerset, WI.
