Violet E. Peterson

Violet was born April 16, 1933 in Rockford, IL to the late Norman & Virginia (Gray) Swenson.

Violet married Reginald Peterson April 18, 1951 in Rockford, IL; he preceded her in death on June 4, 1989.

Violet retired from the Northwood School District in 1997. She was a member of the Lions Club. Violet enjoyed going out to dinner and socializing with her friends.

Among those who survive and gratefully shared her life are her children: Regina DeBoer of Ripon, WI, Rick (Linda) of Brandon, WI, Norman (Katharine) of Wascott, WI, Matthew (Barbara) of Minong, WI , 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, two sisters: Dora Kohler of Rockford, IL, Sandy Wiles of Durand, IL.

Violet is preceded in death by her brother: Norman “Mike” Swenson 2009.

Funeral Services will be 11:30 a.m., Friday, April 20, 2012 at the River Wesleyan Church in Minong, WI. Pastor Ben Kidder will officiate. Visitation will be held 10:00am – 11:30am prior to the service Friday at church. Burial will be in the Wascott Cemetery in Wascott, Wisconsin.
