Alfredo M. Zoanetti

Alfredo M. "AZ" Zoanetti, 83, of Lakeland, passed away Monday October 28th at Crouse Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born in Solvay to the late Guido and Severina (Odrizze) Zoanetti. He was a devoted husband and a loving father and grandfather to his 3 children and 6 grandchildren.

Alfredo served with the 174th Air National Guard and retired from Allied Chemical following 36 years of service. He was an active member of the Lakeside Volunteer Fire Department, an honorary member of the Solvay Fire Department and member of O.C.V.E.A. and F.A.S.N.Y. He was a longtime member of the Tyrol Club of Solvay and communicant of Our Lady of Peace Church. Alfredo was predeceased by his 2 brothers, Victor and Leo.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, the former Jeanne Sarazin, his 3 children; Mark (Marie), David (Susan) and Elaine (David) Redfield, his 6 grandchildren; Diane, Rachel, Andrew, Elizabeth, Daniel and Zachery, 3 sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 8:45 am in BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, and 9:30 am in Our Lady of Peace Church, where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Lakeland.

Calling hours are Tuesday (Today) from 4 to 7 pm at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, 2601 Milton Ave.
