

Betty “Chris” (Christie) Robinson, 82, of Solvay, passed away Thursday September 1st at Loretto. Born in Kemptville, Ontario, Canada to Rowat and Vera Christie, she lived in Syracuse most of her life. She was formerly employed by Dey Brothers, and has worked in specialty advertising sales and as a seamstress. She was a past member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Camillus and longtime member of Westvale Golf Club. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was an accomplished golfer, seamstress and card player. She will be dearly missed by her family, and the many friends who
surrounded her during her life. She was thoughtful and caring, and always willing to help when she was needed. She will be remembered for the laughter and joy she brought to so many people, and her never ending interest in learning and growing. Chris loved the time she spent with her friends playing cards and golf, and trips to the casino, as well as the time she spent with her family here, and in Canandaigua and Rochester. Betty "Chris" made friends everywhere she went. She was predeceased by her husband Glenn Robert Robinson in 1977, a son, Alan Jackson and daughter Rhonda Lee Robinson.
Surviving are 2 daughters; Cyndee Jean (Rich) Cutri, of Canandaigua and Kimberly Ann Robinson, of Rochester, 1 son; James Glenn Robinson, of Syracuse, 3 grandchildren; Jamie (Kelly) Coons, Dana (Dave) Graf and Matthew (Claudine) Cutri, 5 great-grandchildren; Abigail and Lexi Coons, Lauren Graf, Brian and Eric Cutri, 1 sister; Jean (Bob) MacDonald, of Kamploops, Canada and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held from 1:30 to 3:30 pm Sunday September 4th with funeral services to follow at 3:30 pm at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, 2601 Milton Avenue. Private burial will be in Roosevelt Cemetery, Pennellville. Her family wishes to thank her friends, and in particular the second floor staff at Loretto-Fahey for the tireless and loving support and care they provided.
