Carol Jean Fernandez

Carol J. (Giambra) Fernandez, 76, of Geddes, passed away Monday, December 15, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She was born in Lackawanna and was raised in Jamestown before moving to Syracuse. Carol was an avid reader, a longtime communicant of St. Cecilia’s Church and member of its Altar and Rosary Society. She also was a former member of the Geddes Veterans Ladies Auxiliary and Geddes Seniors.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Hilario “Lio” Fernandez, her children; Joseph (Carolyn) Foti, of Rochester, Michael (Tamara) Foti, of Tully and Cynthia Foti, of New Port Ritchey, FL, 4 grandchildren; Steven, Jeanna, Kristen and Anthony Foti, and 16 nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 8:15 am Friday, December 19, 2014 at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME and 9:00 am at St. Cecilia’s Church, where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Lakeland. Family and friends may call Thursday, December 18, 2014 from 4 to 7 pm at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, 2601 Milton Avenue.
