Christine T. (Plants) Girard

Christine Girard, 92, of Westvale, passed away in peace with full and loving support from her family on Wednesday, November 13th, 2014. She was born in Solvay NY to the late Samuel and Mary (Anthony) Plants and graduate of Solvay High School in 1941. Christine was predeceased by her husband Richard in 1998. Through their 50 years of marriage, Christine enjoyed traveling with Richard through the Northeast states, as well as San Francisco and Honolulu.

Christine is survived by her four children: Gail A Kratz (Buzz), of Syracuse, Genice M Noland (Sam), of San Francisco, Richard M Girard (Debbie), of Seattle, WA and Susan G Roach (Curtis), of Constantia. Christines extended family tree includes: 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

She was truly loved and will be remembered as someone who always welcomed family and their friends. She will be missed by all.

Christine received expert and compassionate care from the attentive staff at the Iroquois Nursing Home and from Doctors T. Hartzheim and A. Shawl.

Funeral services will be held at 9:15 am Monday, November 17, 2014 in BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME and 10 am at St. Charles of Borromeo Church, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Burial will follow in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 2 to 4 pm Sunday November 16, 2014 at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, Solvay.
