

Clelia (Sardo) Mamorella, 96, of Geddes, passed away Sunday December 25th at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Born in Dagliola, Italy, she immigrated to Cortland in 1936 before moving to Solvay and later Geddes where she resided most of her life. She worked at Frazer and Jones a few years, followed by NY Telephone for 33 years in the House Maintenance Department before retiring in 1980. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, Westside Senior Citizens, a communicant of St. Cecilia’s Church and member of its Altar and Rosary Society. Clelia enjoyed crocheting, knitting and was an avid cook and seamstress. She was predeceased by her husband Dominick in 1993.
She is survived by 2 sons; Thomas (Veronica), of Geddes and Richard (Lucille), of Camillus, 6 grandchildren; Richard, Thomas Jr, Lisa (Walid), David, Christopher (Rae) and Mark, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 8:15 am Friday December 30th in BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, Solvay, and 9 am at St Cecilia’s Church, Solvay, where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, DeWitt. Calling hours are from 4 to 7 pm Thursday December 29th at the funeral home, 2601 Milton Avenue.
