

Edmund Kieszkowski, 88, of Solvay, passed away Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Crouse Hospital. He was born in Syracuse to the late Stanley and Mary (Pozda) Kieszkowski and graduate of Solvay High School. He served with the US Army in the European Theater during World War II. He was employed by Crucible Steel Corporation for over 40 years, retiring as a diemaker in 1989. He was a lifelong communicant of St. Cecilia Church and member of the Stanley B. Pennock VFW Post 2893. He was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Dorothy (Potter) in 2007.
He is survived by 3 daughters; Mary Anne Kieszkowski, of Solvay, Carol Jean (Jack) Frost, of Brewerton and Dorothy (Robert) Knittel, of Eastwood, son; Edmund (Karen) Kieszkowski, Jr, of Westvale, 4 grandchildren; Christopher (Robyn) Potanas, Erin (Christian) Bortel, Thomas Edmund Frost and Katie Knittel, 2 great grandsons; Gabriel and Elijah Bortel, sister; Kathy Riker, of Solvay, brother; Joseph Kieszkowski, of Baldwinsville, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 8:15 am Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME and 9:00 am at St. Cecilia Church, Solvay, where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal and burial with military honors will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Lakeland.
