Edward R. DeLaura

Edward R. DeLaura, 72, of Solvay, passed away Saturday August 10, 2013 at Crouse Hospital. Born in NY City, he grew up in New Jersey before moving to Syracuse. He served in the US Army Reserves from 1964-70 and was a graduate of LeMoyne College. He was a CPA for over 40 years and was a partner of Bain, Brown and DeLaura of Syracuse. He was a communicant of Holy Family Church. Ed was predeceased by a stepson, Sean July 10, 2013.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, the former Carol Shulkies, 2 children, Edward and Danielle, 2 stepsons, Tim and Chris, 2 grandchildren, Nikki DeLaura-Ariola and Eddie DeLaura-Ariola and many other extended family members.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 am in Holy Family Church, Fairmount. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Warners. Calling hours are from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday (today) at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, 2601 Milton Ave.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central New York, 5005 Campuswood Dr., E. Syracuse, NY 13057.
