

Edward J. Salensky, 83, of Solvay, passed away Friday, August 12, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. He was born in Syracuse to the late Walter and Catherine (Sturick) Salensky, Sr. in 1933. Ed was a US Army Veteran. He was a avid member of the NFLCC, working many shows with antique fishing tackle. He was a self-employed mechanic in Solvay, alongside his brother, Walter, Jr. for over 30 years before retiring. Ed was a member of Holy Cross Polish National Catholic Church in Syracuse.
He is survived by his sister; Nancy (James) McIndoe, niece; Debra McIndoe, nephew; James McIndoe, Jr., several cousins, friends and his four legged companion, Miss Kitty.
Funeral services will be held 9:15 am Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME and 10 am at Holy Cross PNC Church, 3690 Armstrong Rd., where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated. Burial will follow in Holy Cross PNC Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4 to 6 pm Monday, August 15, 2016 at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, 2601 Milton Ave.
