Elizabeth “Gerry” (Matteson) Hasenjager, 97, of Auburn, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Auburn Community Hospital. She was born in Seneca Falls to the late Andrew and Bertha (Potter) Matteson in 1919. She was a machine operator at Singer Corporation for many years before retiring. Gerry was predeceased by her husband, Paul T. Hasenjager her longtime companion, Ray Assmann, 3 sisters, Helen, Gertrude and Edith, 2 brothers, Bill and Jack.
She is survived by 3 daughters; Ann, Edna “Bricky” (Michael) and Paula (Bob), a son; Theodore “Rusty” (Betty), caregiving granddaughter; Melissa (Scott) McConnell-Murphy, several more grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for family and close friends will be held at a later date.
