Frank Maccarone

Frank Maccarone, 84, of Solvay, passed away Tuesday, August 23rd at Upstate University Hospital. He was born in Italy to the late Dominick and Carmella (Pontano) Maccarone in 1931 before immigrating to the US at the young age of 17. Frank was a barber for more than 55 years, owning and operating West Genesee Barber Shop in Syracuse. He loved to travel and spend time gardening. Frank was a member of Word of Life Assembly of God Church in Baldwinsville.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, the former Connie Jerome, son; Dominick (Louise) Maccarone,daughter; Michele Isbell, 4 grandchildren; Christine (Matt) Wood, Jamie Maccarone, Jacob and Rachel Isbell, sister; Frances Malacari, brother; Rocco Maccarone and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, Solvay. Private burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Warners. Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 pm Monday, August 29, 2016 at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, 2601 Milton Ave.
