Gregorina Sauro, 85, of Syracuse, went home to be with the Lord Saturday at Menorah Park. Born in Staletti, Italy, she lived in Syracuse most of her life. She was a lifelong seamstress and gardener and worked for both Learbury’s and Danzers Restaurant. Her great strengths were her love of God, family and helping others. Gregorina was predeceased by her grandson Anthony, 3 sisters and her brother.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Christy, 5 daughters; Mary (Edward) Carocci, of St. Mary’s, PA, Linda (Peter) Bianchi, of Camden, Katherine (James) Zingarelli, of Amesbury, MA, Annette (Timothy) Bargabos, of Camillus and Angela (Henry) Perry, of Solvay, 1 son; Leonard (Katie Rawlings), of Syracuse, 14 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be conducted at 1 pm Thursday at Abundant Life Christian Center, 7000 All Nations Blvd., E. Syracuse. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse. Calling Hours are from 4 to 7 pm Wednesday at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, 2601 Milton Avenue.
