Henry J. Chajka, 90, formerly of Camillus, passed away peacefully Saturday at Menorah Park. Born in Syracuse, he was a US Army Air Corps Veteran of WW II. He was a teacher for over 20 years for the Syracuse City School District before retiring in 1981.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, the former Norine Moore, a daughter; Constance Manion, of Jordan, 3 sons; Paul (Jeanette), of Camillus, Michael (Terry), of Camillus and Peter, of Phoenix, AZ, 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 am Thursday at St. Joseph’s Church, 5600 W. Genesee St., Camillus. There are no calling hours. BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, Solvay, has care of arrangements.
