

Ines M. (Venturini) Savo, 84, of Solvay, passed away Friday, September 30th at Crouse Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born in Solvay to the late Guido and Oliva Venturini in 1932 and graduate of Solvay High School Class of 1950. Ines worked as an assembler at GE for several years. She later worked at St. Cecilia’s School as a custodian before retiring in 1994 from the rectory where she was a housekeeper and office assistant. Ines served as an Election Inspector for Onondaga County for many years. Some of her many affiliations included Sergeant at Arms and member of the Tyrol Club of Solvay Auxiliary, St. Cecilia’s PTA, a lifelong communicant of St. Cecilia Church and member of its Altar and Rosary Society and Solvay Seniors. Ines enjoyed watching her kids and grandkids play sports at Solvay High School, playing cards, traveling to many Tyrolean Conventions and the ‘most important’ activity…. her many casino trips over the years with her husband. She lived life to the fullest and was most happy doing ‘anything’ for her family and friends.
Her family wishes to express their most grateful thanks for the care they were shown while on 7 Memorial at Crouse Hospital and by the office of Dr. Olga Kligerman HOA (Onondaga Hill). She was predeceased by her brother Edward “Hollow” Venturini.
Ines is survived by her husband of 55 years, John, daughter; Catherine A. Savo, of Solvay, 2 sons; James A. (Lynette) Savo, of Liverpool and John P. (Louise) Savo, of Lakeland, 5 grandchildren; Nicole and Larry Sagarella, Jessica, James T. and John L. Savo, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted 8:45 am Tuesday, October 4, 2016 in BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME and 9:30 am in St. Cecilia's Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Warners. Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 pm Monday, October 3, 2016 at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, 2601 Milton Ave., Solvay.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to The Tyrol Club of Solvay, 213 Lamont Ave, Solvay, NY 13209.
