

James P. Corbett, 89, of Auburn, formerly of Ft. Myers, FL, passed away Friday at home. He was born in Syracuse to the late Leo and Katherine (Dougherty) Corbett. James was a Navy veteran of WWII. He was a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative for A.H. Robbins, Co for 30 years. He then owned the Hilltop Grocery Store before relocating to Ft. Myers. He was a member of the Ft. Myers Theater Guild, enjoyed golfing, bingo and especially Friday night karaoke at the DelTura Country Club. James was predeceased by his infant son Kevin, two brothers and two sisters.
Surviving are his wife of 65 years, the former Patricia Kelley; a daughter; Deborah (Dale) Clark, of Auburn, 3 sons; John “Kelley” (Debra) Corbett, of Brewerton, James P. Corbett, Jr., of Canandaigua and Timothy (Peg) Corbett, of Ashville NC; grandchildren; Timothy (Stacey) Clark, Amy (David) Gilmore, Kelley (Tom) Dean and Ryan Corbett; 8 great-grandchildren and many relatives and friends.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Charles of Borromeo Church, 417 S. Orchard Rd. in Westvale on Thursday at 10:00 am. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, DeWitt.
Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 pm Wednesday at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, 2601 Milton Avenue.
