

James Thomas Felicita, 68, of Huntington Beach, CA, passed away October 21, 2015 at home. He was born in Syracuse to the late Anthony N. and Ada (Beech) Felicita. He grew up in Fairmount and was a 1965 high honor graduate of West Genesee Central High School. He graduated from Cornell University in 1969. Jim was among the first to be included in the “Who’s Who” in American Aviation and Aerospace. He is also in “Who’s Who” in the West and California. He began his career in contract management with the Department of Navy Naval Material Command. Jim retired from Boeing Satellite Systems in Los Angeles, California. He was employed there as manager, NASA Contracts GOES N-Q., GOES Program. This is a weather satellite system which monitors weather conditions and warns of pending major storms all over the United States. He also worked on both the Galileo and Jupitor probe while at Boeing. Additionally, he worked on many other contracts in the NASA Space System Program at Boeing. He was a longtime member of the National Contract Managers Association. Jim was a nationally known collector of Disney art and memorabilia. He was considered to be in the top level of collectors of Disney in the United States. Jim was a quiet, loving person, always willing to help.
He is survived by his brother, William H. Felicita, of Fulton and El Cajon, CA, an aunt, M. Carmel Felicita and several cousins.
Services and burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park were private. There are no calling hours. BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, Solvay has care of arrangements.
