Johanna “Joan” Loughnot, 76, of Cicero, passed away Tuesday at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Born in Carbondale, PA, she moved to Syracuse in 1952 and resided in Cicero for 46 years. She worked as a bookkeeper for Western Electric, followed by 33 years at Lakeshore Yacht and Country Club. She later worked part time at the Cicero Golf Shop. She was a member of the South Bay Fire Department Auxiliary, South Shore Association Auxiliary and the South Shore Pitch League. Joan was predeceased by her husband Charles and sisters Rita Owens, Ruth Mushow, Catherine Korycinski and Mary Artini.
She is survived by 2 daughters; Charlene (Mark) Harbaugh and Karen (Kevin) Purdy, both of Cicero, 6 grandchildren; Sydney, Daniel, Alayna and John Harbaugh, Amanda and Aaron Purdy, 2 sisters; Frances McDaniels, of Baldwinsville and Eleanor Penwarden, of Tully, 2 brothers; George (Georgia) Mushow, of Jamesville and Tom (Dee) Mushow, of NC, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and godchildren.
Calling hours are from 5 to 8 pm Friday December 2nd with funeral services to follow at 8 pm at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, Solvay.
