M. Peg (Cilani) Wells

M. Peg (Cilani) Wells, of Solvay, passed away Saturday, September 3rd at home. She was born in Solvay to the late Joseph and Angelina (Ludovici) Cilani. She was a lifelong resident of Solvay. Peg worked and retired from Onondaga-Madison BOCES. She was a communicant of St. Cecilia Church and member of its Altar and Rosary Society. Other memberships include, the National PTA, Solvay Seniors, Solvay-Geddes-Camillus Kiwanis, founding member of the Solvay Tiger’s Auxiliary, a trustee of Solvay Public Library and the Solvay-Geddes Scholarship. She was predeceased by her husband Walter J. Wells in 1991.

Peg is survived by a daughter; Jennifer A. Banks, of Solvay, 2 sons; Walter J., Jr. (Frances), of Fairport and Timothy J. (Michele), of Tonawanda, 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers; Joseph Cilani, of Solvay and Salvatore “Sonny” Cilani, of AZ, and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 am Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at St. Cecilia Church, 1001 Woods Rd, Solvay. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse. There are no calling hours at Peg’s request. BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME has care of arrangements.
