

Olga (DiMatteo) Benedetti, 101, of Solvay, passed away Monday, April 25, 2016 at Syracuse Home Association. She was born in Syracuse to the late Louis and Isabella (Sada) DiMatteo in 1915. Olga was employed as a cutter at Learbury where she worked over 50 years before retiring in 1982. She was a longtime communicant of St. Cecilia Church. She was a Bingo volunteer for the former St. Cecilia’s School, an avid bowler, baker, bingo player, loved to frequent the casino’s, and was a member of the Solvay Tigers Auxiliary. She was predeceased by her husband Ronald in 2006.
She is survived by her son; Ronald, of Solvay, daughter; Diane (Chester) Justian, of Conquest, 5 grandchildren; James Whiteford, of Weedsport, John Whiteford, of Seneca Falls, Kim Benedetti, of Solvay, Kara (Ryan) Conway, of Dallas, TX and David (Kristan) Benedetti, of Camillus, great-grandchildren; Jordan Walawender, Carter and Dylan Conway and Mia Rose Wild, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 8:45 am Friday, April 29, 2016 at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME AND 9:30 am at St. Cecilia Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The Rite of committal and entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum, DeWitt.
