

Salvatore “Ralph” Catapano, 93, of Camillus, passed away Saturday at Van Duyn Home and Hospital. Born in Brooklyn, he was a US Army Veteran of WW II. He was a pioneer at the time when he started one of the first TV sales and repair businesses in Brooklyn, RC Radio and TV Sales and Repair, which he operated for 30 years. He later worked as a technician for the US Postal Service on Long Island for 6 years before retiring in 1981. He was a member of the Camillus Senior Citizens and the Moose Club. Salvatore was predeceased by his wife, Claire (Fico) and a daughter, Teresa Leseberg.
He is survived by 2 daughters; Carole Pretsch, of Terrehute, IN and Susan (Barry) Behlen, of Fairmount, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am Friday at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, Solvay. Burial with military honors will follow in the Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Calling hours are from 4 to 7 pm Thursday at the funeral home, 2601 Milton Avenue.
