

Thomas C. Veri, 82, of Lakeland, passed away Thursday at Van Duyn Home and Hospital. Born in Syracuse to the late Benjamin and Helen (Wojtaleski) Veri, he was a US Navy Veteran of the Korean War. Tom was area vice president of Key Bank for 23 years before retiring in 1992. He was a member of the Solvay Tigers AC, the Geddes Veteran’s and he was a die hard, lifelong NY Yankee fan.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, the former Wanda Zera, a daughter; Christine (Richard) Kociszewski, of Baltimore, MD, 4 sons; Thomas, Jr. (Michelene Gary), of Lakeland, John (Christine), of Onondaga Hill, Anthony and Joseph, both of Lakeland, 3 grandchildren, Adrienne (Dan) Kraus, Caitlin and Benjamin Veri, 2 brothers; Ronald (Kathy), of Lakeland and Vincent (Carol), of Westvale, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services and entombment in Woodlawn Cemetery were private. There were no calling hours. BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, Solvay, has care of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Lakeside Fire Dept. Online condolences may be offered at www.bagozzitwins.com.
