

Victoria (Tomassini) Duda, 89, of Solvay, passed away Saturday January 12th at Upstate University Hospital. Born in Little Falls to the late Abele and Maria (Serafinelli) Tomassini, she lived in Solvay most of her life. She was a clerk in the Village of Solvay Highway Department for 20 years before retiring. Victoria enjoyed dancing in the park and reading to children as a volunteer at the Solvay Public Library. She was predeceased by her husband Michael in 1969, daughter Nancy Mezzanotte in 2009, and her friend and companion Frank Fidura in 2011.
She is survived by her son-in-law; John Mezzanotte, of Streamwood, IL, 2 grandchildren; Michael (Ammy) Mezzanotte, of Peoria, AZ and Marie-Terese Mezzanotte, of Streamwood, IL, 3 great-grandchildren; Victoria-Marie, Johnmichael and Vincent Joseph, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 8:45 am Thursday January 17th in BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME and 9:30 am at St. Cecilia Church, where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Calling hours are from 4 to 7 pm Wednesday January 16th at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, 2601 Milton Avenue.
