Virginia Louise (Armani) Maroney

Virginia Louise (Armani) Maroney, 86, of Camillus, passed away Monday August 31st at Francis House after a short illness. She was born in Syracuse to the late Flower and Olga (Possenti) Armani on May 1, 1929. She was a longtime communicant of St. Vincent DePaul Church and member of its Altar and Rosary Society, Happy Roamers and Legion of Mary. She was also a member of the Tyrol Club of Solvay, P.I.O, TOPS and the Golden Agers. Virginia was predeceased by her husband, James in 1991.

Surviving are daughters; Kathleen (Richard) Gosson and Patricia (Edward) Rodrigues, both of Syracuse, sons; Thomas (Trish), of Syracuse, Robert (Christine), of DeWitt and Michael (Gina), of New Hartford, CT, 12 grandchildren; Nicole, Madeline and Lydia Gosson, Cloe, Gillian and Lukas Rodrigues, Molly and Katherine Maroney, Patrick and John Maroney, Mary and Matthew Maroney, a brother; Carl (Marcy) Armani, of Denver, CO, a niece; Malia Armani of Denver, CO, and a nephew; Winston Armani of Salt Lake City, UT, her Aunt Gloria Bucci and several cousins.

The family would like to thank the staffs of Iroquois Nursing Home, Hospice of Central New York and Francis House for their special care and support.

Funeral Services will be held 8:30 am Friday, September 4, 2015 at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, Solvay and 9:30 am at St. Vincent DePaul Church, where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated. Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 pm Thursday, September 3, 2015 at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, 2601 Milton Ave, Solvay, NY 13209.
