Brian J. Dunne, age 24, of East Freetown, passed away unexpectedly on Monday night, September 4, 2023, on his way home to his girls. Born in Fall River, a son of John and Paula (Jacques) Dunne of Somerset, he lived in Somerset for many years before moving to East Freetown. He attended Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School, graduating in 2017. Brian was the owner and operator of Dunnes Transport & Towing.
Brian loved fixing up and driving cars, boats, trucks, dirt bikes, and just about anything with a motor. He loved RC cars, fishing, and scrolling through Facebook marketplace looking for the newest great deal.
His favorite pastime was being in the shop with his friends, whether it was working on a new toy or just hanging out. But Brian loved nothing as much as his recent daughter, who immediately became the focus of his whole world. Brian instantly became the doting, loving, attentive father we knew he would become.
Brian loved the family dogs, from Buster to Max, Winnie and Willow, to Sasha, who was just as stubborn and loyal as he.
Brian was the kind of person that you could always hear coming and going, whether it was hearing his engine up the road, the strong opening and closing of doors, his loud, projecting voice, and huffs and puffs. And you always knew what you were getting with Brian. No BS.
Brian had a heart of gold that everyone who knew him would attest to, and was always just a phone call away for anyone that needed anything at any time.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one daughter, Blakely Claire Dunne; fiancée, Haileigh Jarvis of East Freetown; three brothers, Justin Dunne of Taunton, Derek Dunne, his wife Kim, and daughter Brielle, of East Freetown, Matthew Dunne of Boston, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends. He was the grandson of Frank and Claire Jacques and David and Mary Dunne.
Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 12:00 PM in Waring Sullivan Home at Rose E. Sullivan, 866 County St. Somerset. Visiting hours will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM prior to the service. Burial is private.
