Brian M. Maher–Armstrong age 34, of Swansea, formerly of Freetown and Dartmouth died unexpectedly Friday, January 14, 2011. He was the son of Theresa (Westgate) Armstrong of Swansea, Noah S. Armstrong Sr. of Dighton and Brian M. Maher Sr. and his wife Dori of New Bedford.
He was born in New Bedford and was a 1995 graduate of Apponequet High School. He was employed with Wal-Mart in Halifax for 14years as Assistant Manager and worked part-time with Stop & Shop in Halifax. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid Dallas Cowboys Fan.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his two children; Garrett L. Maher and Samantha F. Maher both of Fall River; two sisters; Dawn Duddy and her husband Jimmy of Dighton and Amber Flemming of Houston; two brothers; Noah Stephen Armstrong Jr. of Westport and Michael Maher of New Bedford; grandmother; Mary Westgate of Freetown, two step sisters; Kim and Rachel Bento of New Bedford, two step-children; Tiffany and Andrew Howlan, nieces and nephews; Destinee, Tara, Kyra, Aric and Noah III, two step-grandchildren and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
His funeral service will be held Thursday, January 20, 2011 at 10AM in the Dighton Community Church, 2036 Elm St., Dighton, MA. Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 4-8PM in the WARING-SULLUVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE AT ROSE E. SULLIVAN, 866 County St., Somerset. Burial will be in Unitarian Church Cemetery in Dighton.
