Catherine A. Rapoza

Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Pasquale J. and Mary (McGovern) Iodice, she had been a resident of Somerset since 1961.

A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, Class of 1946, she attended the Thibideau School of Business. She worked at Princess House in Taunton for many years.

She loved her flowers, taking trips to the Casino and all animals, especially her cat Peaches. She was kind-hearted and generous. Her favorite times spent were with her family whom she adored in her home which she loved.

She is survived by two daughters, Lynn Winters of Somerset, Mary Beth Gardiner and her husband Craig of Swansea; one son, Brian Rapoza of Berkley; three grandchildren, Bethany Winters, Amy Germano, Brian Rapoza Jr.; daughter-in-law, Janice Rapoza and many great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late, Bruce Rapoza, mother-in-law of the late Richard Winters and Nancy Rapoza and sister of the late Bernard, John “Red” Jodice and Lee Marcoux.

Her Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025 at 10:00AM in St. Thomas More Church, 386 Luther Ave., Somerset. Relatives and friends invited. Contributions in her honor may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Burial private.
