Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Thomas Loftus and Annie (Rogers) Loftus, she lived in Taunton for many years before moving to Somerset in 1949.
She is survived by one son; Alfred R. Desmarais of Swansea, two grandchildren; Raymond R. Desmarais of Raleigh, NC, Denise Wolfe and her husband Kevin of Cary, NC, two great-granddaughters: Scarlett and Clementine Wolfe and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late George Loftus, Edward O’Hara, Katherine Boudria, and Martin Gifford.
Her Funeral will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at 8:30AM from the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Rose E. Sullivan, 866 County St., Somerset, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM in St. Patrick’s Church, 306 South St. Somerset. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours prior to her Mass from 8:30 to 9:30AM in the Funeral Home. Burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Somerset.
