

Danny Botelho, aged 53, passed away on June 2, 2025, in Concord, VT doing what he loved most, hunting. Born on December 22, 1972, Danny was known for his hardworking, selfless, and caring nature. He was a devoted family man, passionate about hunting, and spent his life providing for his family as a heavy equipment operator. In recent years, he added Maine Guide to his professional pursuits, continuing his legacy of dedication and service.
Danny graduated from Bristol County Agricultural High School, which grounded him in a life connected to the outdoors theme that stayed central throughout his life. He built a cabin in Vermont from the ground up, creating a cherished gathering place for his family. He was an avid hunter and took great joy in teaching the sport to his children and sons-in-law, ensuring his passion was passed down through generations.
He is survived by his wife, Melissa Botelho; daughters Brandilyn Botelho and her fiancé Josh Langlois, Jessika Gousie and her husband Shane, Ashleigh Tetreault and her husband Justin, Mikayla Francoeur and her wife Chantelle, and Brooke Botelho and her significant other Quinn Dutra; sons Kristopher and Daniel Botelho; twelve grandchildren: Anthony, Addison, Juliette, Payton, Dallas, Rowan, Weston, Penelope, Maverick, Brady, Joshua, and Gianna. Danny also leaves behind his mother, Betty Woodward and her husband David; two older brothers, a younger sister, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Botelho.
Danny's life was a testament to the virtues of hard work, love, and the importance of family. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those he touched and taught.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2025 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Rose E. Sullivan, 866 County Street, Somerset. His Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025 at 10:00 AM in the Somerset Baptist Church, 363 High Street, Somerset. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial in Vinnicum Woods Cemetery, Swansea.
