Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Justine (Pimental) Gonsalves.
Delores worked as a Clerk at Lightolier in Fall River and previously at Lamport. She enjoyed shopping sprees, tending to her garden, trips to the casino, watching soap operas and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her partner, Gerry Lussier of Somerset; one son, James W. Carey II and his wife Doris of Somerset; one grandson, James W. Carey III and his wife Wendy of Swansea; one granddaughter, Heather Carey-Trahan and her husband Nick of Somerset; one great-grandson, Jordan Carey-Trahan of Somerset, as well as her beloved German Shepherds, Heidi, Smokey, and Sabrina.
Her Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, from 8:30 to 9:30 AM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Rose E. Sullivan, 866 County St., Somerset, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Patrick’s Church, 306 South St., Somerset. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Somerset.
