Edeltraud M. England

Born in Branitz Kreis Leobschutz, Germany, she was a daughter of the late Alois and Klara (Mrasek) Schimschal. She came to the United States in 1955 living in New York. In 1962, she moved to Massachusetts and settled in Somerset in 1970.

Mrs. England was a communicant of St. Thomas More Church. She devoted her life to caring for her family and raising her children. She was a member of the German Club in Pawtucket, taught culinary classes and worked as a caterer. She cherished the time she spent with her beloved family especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by four children, Raymond England and his wife Donna of Laconia, NH, Norman England and his fiancée Millie Scott of Fall River, Maurice England, Jr. and his wife Michelle of Berkley and Doris Diniz and her husband Terry of Assonet; two sisters, Rosa Hierlwimmer and her husband Anton of Reichertshofen, Germany and Erika Hoffman of Taufkirchen Vils, Germany; six grandchildren, Michael, Katie, Jessica, Scott, Taylor and Sydney; two great grandchildren, James and Christopher along with many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Gerhard Schimschal.

Her Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 10:00AM at St. Thomas More Church, 386 Luther Ave., Somerset, MA. Relatives and friends are invited. Contributions in her honor be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 417005, Framingham, MA 01701. Burial in Newport Memorial Park, Middletown, RI.
