Born in Fall River, the son of the late Francis K. “Frank” Fennelly, Jr. and the late Constance M. “Connie” (Leonardo) Fennelly, he was a longtime resident of Swansea and a graduate of Joseph Case High School, class of 1991. He then earned his Bachelor’s Degree from UMass Dartmouth in 1995.
Jason was employed as a Guidance Counselor with Cape Cod Collaborative for over 20 years while simultaneously working part-time as a Deputy Sheriff for the Bristol County Sheriff’s Department.
He enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson Motorcycle, driving his big truck, and volunteer coaching for Dighton-Rehoboth Pop Warner football and Somerset-Berkley Regional High School’s Football team.
Jason was the loving father of two children Seamus J. Fennelly and Lauren M. Fennelly, both of Dighton. He is also survived by his brother William “Billy” Cowell, his wife Marcy of Dighton, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Bryan and Jeff Cowell.
His Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024, from 3 pm to 6 pm in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Rose E. Sullivan, 866 County St., Somerset.
