Judith A. Heron

Judith A. (McCann) Heron, age 51, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2015 in Home Hospice Care of Rhode Island. Born in Fall River, a daughter of Michael M. McCann of Swansea and the late Ann E. (Boyer) McCann, she was a lifelong resident of Swansea.

A graduate of Joseph Case High School, class of 1981, she attended Framingham State College and received her Associates Degree in Early Childcare from Bristol Community College.

She was a personal trainer at Swansea Total Fitness for many years. She enjoyed working out, riding her bike, and going to the beach. A caregiver to all, she loved children and spending time with her family.

In addition to her father she is survived by two daughters: Alyson Heron of Fort Johnson, NY, and Abigail J. Heron of Swansea, one sister: Mary R. Abreu and her husband Daniel of Swansea, and former husband Robert P. Heron. She was the sister of the late Shaun McCann.

Her Funeral will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 8:00AM from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at ROSE E. SULLIVAN, 866 County St., Somerset, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00AM in St. Dominic’s Church, 1277 G.A.R. Highway, Swansea. Visiting hours Friday from 4:00 to 7:00PM.
