Judith M. "Judy" Medeiros

Born in Fall River, she was the beloved daughter of Helen (Souza) Medeiros of Somerset and the late Alfred “Fred” Medeiros.

A graduate of Somerset High School, Judy continued her education at the Diman School of Practical Nursing. She went on to work for several years as a receptionist in an ear, nose, and throat medical office, and later found joy in her work as a hairdresser, where her warm personality and caring nature were felt by all.

Judy had a deep love for animals and treated her dogs like family. She enjoyed spending time in her garden and especially cherished the holidays—her favorite time of year—when she would lovingly decorate her home and bring family and friends together to celebrate.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her brother, Stephen “Steve” Medeiros and his wife Denise of Assonet; her nephews, Derek Medeiros and his wife Kori of Taunton, and Scott Medeiros and his wife Ashley of Warren, RI; her niece, Kristen Patchen and her husband David of Wynnewood, PA; and her cherished great-nieces, Kennedy and Grace Medeiros, with one more expected soon. She also leaves behind her devoted dog, Jackson; her goddaughter, Chelsea Sandner; and many cousins and dear friends.

A memorial service will be held Monday, July 28, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Rose E. Sullivan, 866 County Street, Somerset. Relatives and friends are invited. Visitation will be held Monday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, prior to the service. Burial will be private.
