Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late George L. and Margaret M. (Hurst) Dunn, she was a 1941 Graduate of BMC Durfee High School and the former FG Allen Business School.
Miss Dunn was employed in various management positions for New England Telephone in the Fall River, New Bedford and Boston areas for 42 years retiring in 1983. She was a member of the Parish Vocation Awareness Team at St. Thomas More Parish, enjoyed reading and was a world traveler.
She is survived by her sister; Barbara Dunn of Somerset, two godchildren; Nicholas and Lauren Gonsalves and many cousins including Gretchen Gonsalves of Fall River.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at 9AM from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE AT ROSE E. SULLIVAN, 866 County St., Somerset, followed by her funeral mass at 10AM in St. Thomas More Church, 386 Luther Ave., Somerset. Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 7PM. Contributions in her honor may be made to the St. Thomas More Renovation Fund, c/o St. Thomas More Church. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Fall River.
