

Born in East Bridgewater, a daughter of the late Cornelius and Mary (Morey) Cary, she spent her youth in East Bridgewater and moved to Somerset in 1939.
A graduate of East Bridgewater High School, she also attended the Brockton Business College. She worked as a sales clerk at the former Cherry and Webb for 35 years before retiring in 1992.
A longtime communicant of St. Patrick’s Church, she was an avid sports fan and especially liked the Red Sox. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, and baking and was known to have made the best apple pies around.
She is survived by one daughter: Catherine A. Stout of Somerset, three sons: John “Jack” C. Tinsley of Warren, Richard J. Tinsley and his wife Patricia of Tiverton, Frank C. Tinsley and his wife Nancy of Fall River, nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was sister of the late Lucille Cruz, Mary McCabe, Joseph, Duncan, and Cornelius Cary and mother in law of the late Roy L. Stout and Ann Tinsley.
Her Funeral will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at 9:00AM from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at ROSE E. SULLIVAN, 866 County St., Somerset, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM in St. Patrick’s Church, 306 South St., Somerset, MA 02726. Visiting hours Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00PM. Flowers welcome or contributions in her honor may be made to St. Patrick’s Church. Burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Somerset.
