I've been in and out of the music scene since high school, and when I got back into it after finishing my Master's degree, Mark was one of my first "fans," and a really fun dance partner. No one loved music and dancing as much as Mark. He'd always say hello and look you right in the eye--a rare thing these days. I will miss seeing him at shows. My condolences to his sister and nephew, and to the entire community.

It was so shocking and upsetting to learn of Mark’s sudden passing. Mark was one of the first friendly faces I saw when we moved back to the New Bedford area. He was fun to dance and chat with and he knew where all the bands were playing. My husband and I ran into him in numerous cities wherever there was music. It will not be the same without Mark’s friendly face. He will be greatly missed by all his friends.

Mark was everywhere on the local music scene, we sometimes saw him at more than one venue on the same night, too!!! Always great to talk to, as well...I will miss him. May he Rest In Peace...

Like so many others, I met and casually socialized with Mark at local music venues. While I never actually danced *with* Mark, he often "broke the ice" by being the first person to get up, which served as a nice invitation for me and others to join him.

Always so friendly, he was quiet, but he had such a "volume" of positive energy.

People who are so able to get you "out of your chair" and "out of your head" are so rare --- he will be so missed.

Thanks for sharing your peace with me Mark. <3
