

Born in Pittsburg, PA the daughter of the late Thomas and Jessie Pettis of Manville, RI, she was a longtime resident of Somerset, MA.
Marsha earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Education from Salve Regina University in Newport. She loved to teach and took extreme pride in her career teaching children at Nathanael Greene Elementary School, Pawtucket, RI for 30+ years. She was unique in her extraordinary gift to educate people to recognize their ability & full potential. She wanted the world to love, & love life. If there was music Marsha was on the dance floor. She had a deep passion for cooking, she was always dressed to the max, and she loved being in her beautiful, beautiful home.
She is survived by her cousin, who was more like a sister to her, Mary Jo DiPaolo, & her husband Walter Berger, as well as her loved ones whom she loved deeply: Shane J. St Pierre, whom she raised, Patricia Shannahan, Paul J. Shannahan, and his significant other Danielle Searcy, Britney S. Shannahan, Paul's children, Arianna and Lilliana, & Michael, Nancy, & Mia Padula. Marsha was predeceased by her only child & daughter, Kimberly Rounds Dupre.
Private services are in the care of the Waring-Sullivan Home at Rose E. Sullivan, Somerset.
