Born in Fall River, a son of the late Charles and Lois (Vance) Wilbur, he lived in Fall River before moving to Somerset in 1976.
Mr. Wilbur was a Supervisor at the former Quaker Fabrics and a longtime member and bartender at the Somerset Progressive Club. He was an avid golfer, pool player and sports fan.
He is survived by three children: James R. Wilbur and his wife Lisa of Somerset, Jayne E. Oldham and her husband Mark of Concord, NH, Peter E. Wilbur and his wife Kristine of Somerset, three grandchildren: Sean Oldham, Erica Sullivan, Corey Wilbur, two great-grandchildren: Jameson and Shae Sullivan and several nieces and nephews. He was brother of the late Elizabeth Canole.
Private services are in the care of the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Rose E. Sullivan, Somerset.
