Sandra A. Czekanski, age 78, of Somerset, passed away Friday, April 18, 2025, at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Walter J. and Lugina (Kot) Czekanski, she lived in Alberta, Canada for many years and was a longtime resident of Somerset.
A graduate of Somerset High School, Class of 1964, she received a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Stonehill College. She worked as a Chemistry Technologist for the University of Edmonton in Alberta, Canada and Harvard Medical School. Sandra enjoyed golfing, bowling and knitting.
She is survived by cousins, Jennifer Poland and her husband Justin of Dighton, Paul Dedrick of FL and Susan Czekanski of Somerset and was cousin of the late Mary Ann Christianson, James Czekanski and Marlene Paradis.
Her graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at 10:00AM in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, 2233 Robeson St., Fall River. Relatives and friends invited. Contributions in her honor may be made to the Swansea Animal Shelter, 68 Stevens Rd., Swansea, MA 02777.
