Stephen J. Roy

Steve will be remembered with deep respect and enduring affection by all who knew him.

Steve proudly served in the Massachusetts National Guard and was employed as a truck driver for Colonial Wholesale Beverages for many years prior to his retirement.

Steve was the devoted husband of Shirley Ann (Reis) Roy, to whom he shared 59 years of marriage. He was a loving father to three children: Shawn Roy and wife Sheri of Somerset, Shelly Rauner and husband Chris of Somerset, and Shannon Roy and wife Melisa of Berkley. He was a cherished grandfather to three grandchildren, Samantha Bailey and husband David, Jayden Roy, and Jack Rauner and two great-grandchildren, Virginia and Elowyn Bailey. He is also survived by one brother, Gary Roy and wife Deb.

Steve loved his family, the ocean, and going out for drives with Shirley. He enjoyed traveling the East Coast and loved music, especially the Beatles. He was a member of the King Philip Yacht Club.

His visitation will be held Monday, April 6, 2026, from 8:15 AM to 9:15 AM at the Waring-Sullivan Home at Rose E. Sullivan, 866 County Street, Somerset followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Church, Somerset. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be private.
