Susan A. (Lenhardt) Medeiros, age 71, of Warren, RI, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, MA. She was the beloved wife of James “Jim” Medeiros to whom she had been married 51 years.
Born in Waltham, she was the daughter of the late Lambert and Rosemary (Campbell) Lenhardt.
Sue received a Bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and went on to work in the Food Service industry for over 50 years. Sue worked at the New Bedford Country Club, the Blue Water Grill in Barrington, and many other restaurants throughout her extensive career.
In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling with close friends and family, bowling, and playing softball. She was a former Junior Girl Scouts leader and an avid New England sports fan.
Besides her devoted husband, she is survived by three sons, Jamie and Scott Medeiros of Warren and Kevin Medeiros of Fall River; two grandchildren, Ryan and Logan Medeiros; one sister, Carol Schlesinger and her husband John of Medford; one brother, David Lenhardt and his wife Paula of Waltham; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Thomas, Denise, Paul-John, Mark, and Matthew Medeiros and Mary-Louise Shea as well as several nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 9:00 AM from the Waring-Sullivan Home at Rose E. Sullivan, 866 County St., Somerset followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Thomas More Church, 386 Luther Ave., Somerset. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be private. Visitation will be held on Friday from 5:00-8:00 PM.
